Our active mixers are ready to combine signals from guitars, basses, synths, drum machines, etc. Please note: All our active mixers feature our ‘bass mod,’ which allows lower frequencies to enter the circuit without cutting any highs. Its active circuitry balances mismatched impedance and features zero crosstalk between channels. This allows you to connect line level stereo inputs, such as phones, computers, MP3 players, etc. It also converts the impedance from line level to instrument level. The 1/8″ (3.5mm) stereo to mono active summer performs two jobs: First, it actively sums the stereo input into mono. The Saturnworks 1/8″ stereo to mono active summer solves both issues and lets you send your music through you guitar gear. That’s because the signal coming from a phone or a computer is too hot (line level) and most pedals and amps are mono, which means you’re only hearing half the signal. ![]() If you’ve ever tried to connect your phone or computer to a guitar amp, you probably noticed that the signal seems very loud and only half there. Active 1/8″ Stereo to 1/4″ Stereo Mono SummerĬonnect a phone, computer, MP3 player, or other stereo line level signals to your pedals or amp! This setup can help with out-of-phase issues. This version can flip the phase 180 degrees on one of the channels. The active summer + phase adds a phase inverting circuit/toggle. Our active stereo summer combines two stereo signals into one stereo signal. The circuit also helps with mismatched impedance. Unlike Y-cables, which simply wire the jacks together, or passive summers, which can’t completely get rid of crosstalk, the Saturnworks active summer utilizes active electronics to eliminate crosstalk-in other words, the level of one signal affecting the level of the other. The Saturnworks active summer combines two signals into one, using active circuitry to eliminate crosstalk and balance mismatched impedance. Our active summers are ready to combine signals from guitars, basses, synths, drum machines, etc.Īn active summer/combiner pedal combines either two or three signals into one without any tone loss or crosstalk between channels. Please note: All our active summers feature our ‘bass mod,’ which allows lower frequencies to enter the circuit without cutting any highs. Active Summer, Active Summer + Phase, Active Stereo Summer The passive mixers and summers use summing resistors to minimize crosstalk between channels. The ABC summer is comparable to the Morley ABC combiner. The versions with switches adds on/off switches to each channel. The Saturnworks passive mixers and summers take two or three inputs and combines them to one output with volume control for each channel to allow fine volume trimming. Passive 2-Channel Mini Mixer, 2-Channel Mixer with Switches, 3-Channel Passive Summer w/ SwitchesĪ simple passive mixer to combine two signals into one, with controls to fine tune the levels. The channels on the stereo summer/splitter can be used individually for mono summing/splitting. The stereo version passively sums or splits one pair of signals into two pairs, or vice versa. The XLR summer/splitter works the same way as the regular version, but with XLR jacks. The 2-channel patch bay + summer/splitter variation has a toggle that lets you switch the pedal between a 2-channel patch bay, or a passive summer/splitter. This can be handy to passively sum a stereo signal on a TRS cable, such as combining two separate signals on two pickups, into a mono signal to send through pedals, amps, etc. ![]() The micro summer/splitter TRS to TS works like the micro summer/splitter, except it uses a TRS jack on one side, rather than two TS jacks. It features Japanese Lumberg jacks in a ‘micro’ (2″ x 2″ x 1.3″) enclosure. The micro summer/splitter is our popular passive summer/splitter in an even more compact enclosure. In other words, the level of one channel will minimally affect the level of the other. Unlike Y-cables, which simply wire the jacks together, the Saturnworks splitter/combiner utilizes summing resistors to minimize crosstalk. ![]() ![]() Passive Summer/SplitterĪ handy little passive splitter/summer pedal that allows you passively sum or split two or three channels, depending on the version. Saturnworks’ wide variety of mixer and summer pedals lets you combine signals of all tastes and textures.Ĭheck out our FAQs, or the bottom of this page, for more detailed information on the differences between passive and active summers/mixers.
